Yes, you probably annoy me.
Network Television
Why you annoy me:
- Network television
encourages mediocrity. I’m sure everyone else has noticed how bad it is.
People go ape shit when one good show comes out on network TV,
example that springs to mind is Desperate Housewives. ABC’s programming was
so horrendously bad that when they got one decent show people couldn’t jerk
off over it fast enough.
- Network news is
worthless. Thanks to 24 hour news stations 6pm nightly news is an
anachronism.
- Networks are afraid
of anything that might be in the least bit controversial, and thus, thought
provoking.
- Good cable stations
give people like Dave Chapelle a show. Bad networks give George Lopez a
show. That right there is pretty indicative of why network programming
sucks.
- Only network sports
people would pay millions of dollars to hear John Madden praddle incessantly
about a 6 legged turkey.
- You honestly care
what people in middle America think. News flash: if you live in a land
locked state, you don’t matter.
- Your asinine game
shows keep Pat Sajak gainfully employed.
- Local news is
probably the worst thing ever.
Possible
mitigating factors:
- Better than MTV.
- Free.
- Whenever you gear a
show towards a minority group it’s so insultingly bad that it somehow seems
funny.
- Conan O’Brien makes
up for a lot of the bad stuff.
